HOLIDAYS VILLA MAZZI
Villa Mazzi is a part
of the large estate of 230 hectares which belongs
to the family Cugusi. Over the last 40 years
and in corporating the family tradition has
worked in cheese production and various types
of cheep cheese (Pecorino).
Travelling along the
road from Montepulciano to Pienza you will discover
the farm Villa Mazzi. The building overlooks
a varied and the typical charming Tuscan landscape
above 500 m above sea-level. Surrounded by trees
and plants and a nice garden you will relax
also in the hot summer-time.
Villa Mazzi is surrounded
by olive trees and a forest on one side, on
the other side you will find the valleys for
the sheep and the cultivation of crops and the
wine-growing-area.
Overviewing the hills of Montepulciano and regarding
the panoramic skyline of this town you will
discover the basilica San Biagio which you can
also reach on foot.
Close to Montepulciano
you have the possibility to visit other historical
and artistic Tuscan towns:
Pienza 10 km, Chianciano Terme 9 km, Chiusi
22 km, Montalcino 35 km, Siena 65 km, Cortona
28 km etc.
If you will enjoy yourself
in sporting activities you will find swimming-pools
(naturals and thermals), horse-riding, tennis
courts, rent of mountain bikes.
The farm Villa Mazzi belongs to an estate of
27 hectares.
Here you will also find the production and the
sale of the delicious tasting extra virgin olive
oil and also the noble famous red wine of Montepulciano
"Vino nobile di Montepulciano" which
is also produced in the winery of the estate.
If the guests are interested to try your hand
at the work of the farm, they can help at the
grape and olive harvest.
There is also the chance to take part at the
feeding of the sheep.
