In beautiful Tuscany
in the Upper Tiber Valley IL GIARDINO
provides farmhouse holiday accommodation, with
its own 16x6 m swimming pool
and a secure carpark. Situated 1 Km, as the
crow flies from Sansepolcro (birthplace of Piero
Della Francesca the famous painter and Luca
Pacioli, (inventor of double-entry book-keeping
) this spacious 15 th. century farmhouse has
been divided in to self-contained apartments,
each with its our kitchenette fitted with hob,
electric oven, fridge, cutlery and crockery,
plus bed-linen, towels, electric iron and hairdryer.

The apartments have retained
the original Tuscan architectural feature from
past centuries, arches, vaulting, wooden beams,
original terracotta floors .
The farm consists of
17 hectares under cultivation: orchards
of pears, apples, peaches, plums, apricots,
cherries, sweet chestnuts, walnuts. Also vegetables:
potatoes, tomatoes, chard, lettuce, spinach,
celery , strawberries etc
.) Also chickens,
rabbits, geese and turkeys.
Local produce is available
. Nearby farms with horses, cows, donkeys,
pigs, sheep and goats may also be visited.
The swimming pool has
hot showers, with tables, chairs and umbrellas
reserved for each apartment, children have their
own playground with swings, slides, roundabouts
and paddle-pool. Not far away is a field
for ball-games and a bowling-alley. Also
available free use of bicycles, mountain-bikes(22
and 1 tandem) and canoes (3). Also portable
barbecues and outside wood-fired ovens.
In the recreation room
there is satellite TV , a fireplace,
ping- pong table, table football.
There is also a collection
of farm implements and machinery, both modern
and antique outside during the holiday season
there are many traditional festivities throughout
the Valley in the nearby towns and these are
well worth a visit.
IL GIARDINO can provide
guest, depending on the time of year, with trips
to grape-harvests, olive-gathering, oil presses,
chestnut-picking and similar excursions of interest.
Places of cultural or
religious importance are within easy driving
distance: Cittΰ di Castello,Arezzo, Assisi,
Camaldoli ; La Verna, Gubbio, Perugia, Urbino,
Rimini, Siena,Lago Trasimeno,Cortona and Florence(40
min, by train from Arezzo ).
In the surrounding area
there are centers for tennis, riding and fishing.
Tuscany gastronomy can
be enjoyed in a wide selection of restaurants
and trattorias at all price-ranges. Some of
them also provide a takeaway service.

How to get here:
From the E45 superstrada
take the Sansepolcro sud exit, go towards Sansepolcro
for about 300 mt turn right following the sign
AGRITURISMO next to Modern Church S.Giuseppe.
continue along principal road as far as the
sign AGRITURISMO turn right, continue 200 m.
until you see our sign on left.
From the A1 AREZZO
take the road Strada Statale(S.S. Senese Aretina)
following the sign Sansepolcro about 40 Km you
arrive in Sansepolcro at Modern Church S.GIUSEPPE
turn right following the
sign AGRITURISMO continue along principal road
as far as the sign AGRITURISMO , turn right,
continue 200 m. until you see our sign on left.
