COUNTRY
HOUSE MONTELUCE
The origins
of the manor house Monteluce are
to be found in the 16th.century. Built according
to the Tuscan architectonical tradition, Monteluce
is the residence of the local landlords.
In 1800 the complex is adapted to become an
orphanage and returns only in the early 20th
century back to its residential origins. In
the late 80s, the actual proprietors add a restaurant
and start the hotel activities as a Country
House.
The Country House
Monteluce, opened throughout the whole
year, has 16 rooms (all with private bathroom)
and offers either B/B or half pension.
On a hillside (Monteluce = mons loci), with
probable Etruscan traces, lays the area of Country
House Monteluce. The long alley of 200-year-old
ilex guides to the main entrance of the manor
house. You easily distinguish the architectonical
features that characterise manor house, stables
and peasants lodgement.
Surrounded by extensive
lawns, shadow spreading trees, enjoying a big
fruitgarden and blooming greens with wild wine
Monteluce represents a place of
peace, harmony and recognition.
