SAN CRISTOFORO
San Cristoforo
is an historic village, located in a panoramic
position on a beautiful hilltop between Amelia
and Todi. It consists of four farmhouses that
are arranged around an 18th-century church,
which is still consecrated, originally built
upon the remains of an ancient pagan altar.
And here we are! I am Giulio, pharmacist by
education, farmer by vocation, an absolute free
spirit by nature; this is Maiko, my wife, born
in Japan, italian by vocation and…”very
italian” for her unquestioned attitudes
in the kitchen!
Since ever
San Cristoforo has been the name of this ancient
village consisting of four farmhouses arranged
around an 18th century church, still consecrated.
All farmhouses have been restored preserving
the old setting in order to keep the original
“spell”. The swimming pool is literally
“plunged“ in the greens and it opens,
as a large terrace, over the valley of Terni
and Narni, which appear in the distance while,
on the horizon, beyond hills and mountains stands
out the Terminillo Mountain, one of the highest
in the Central Apennines.
A large room and a beautiful fire place welcome
our guests who, during winter, after a good
lunch, take a nap on the sofa while “pretending”
to be reading the news! This hall, which in
the old days was a stable, is also the restaurant
room and is connected with other rooms and halls
where our guest can relax reading, playing cards
or chess and where kids can play with toys made
available to them (to let their parents relax!).
Our “agriturismo” offers very flexible
accommodations in order to best meet our clients
needs. We offer both rooms and apartments all
with private bathrooms. Apartments can accommodate
from a minimum of 2 persons (a bedroom and a
living room with kitchen facility) up to a maximum
of 8 persons (3 bedrooms and a loft type room).
Rooms keep their natural country side simplicity
and still provide for all comforts. An example?
Our largest apartment has four rooms and four
bathrooms, one for each of the rooms. All apartments
are fitted with a complete kitchen, fridge and
television set.
