AGRITURISMO MONTALBINO

Montalbino’s little village in the Tuscan countryside is formed by farm houses of the second half of the XIX century recently restored.

Private gardens surround our apartments and a common wonderful park with olive groves is completed by two swimming pools, one of them with hydro-massage, various barbecues, a very nice terrace and a large car park.

The nearby restaurant La Lombricaia is available to Montalbino agriturismo guests.Our rooms follows the style of the typical farm houses of the Tuscan countryside with wooden beams, brick floors and stone finishing touches.

It offers typical Tuscan cooking with delicious home-made cakes and products of our farm; at breakfast there are various cakes and charcutery. A nice bar and a TV room is available to our guests.

Our disabled guests can choose between 2 apartments on the ground floor, while the park is approachable for everybody. Your four-legged friends are friendly accepted with previous notice.

Montalbino agriturismo lies in the innermost heart of the Tuscan countryside, which links the peacefulness of its landscape with the neighbourhood of artistic cities. The nearest and most famous are Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa. Certaldo is the nearest town to Montalbino agriturismo. Its ancient city centre was born to new life after a very wise restoration. Montelupo Fiorentino is famous for its pottery. Near Montalbino agriturismo, and expecially in Montespertoli, there are many village festivals and patronal feasts. Tasting of typical Tuscan wine and olive oil are frequently organized, otherwise there are many restaurants, trattorias and inns, which offer a wide choice of typical Tuscan plates.

How to get there

By car:
Exit the A1 at Firenze- Signa, here take the highway Firenze-Pisa-Livorno towards Pisa. Exit at Ginestra Fiorentina, and here follow the direction for Montespertoli. After Montespertoli town follow the direction for Lucardo and Montalbino, where you will find Montalbino agriturismo. If you come from south on the highway Firenze-Siena, exit at San Casciano Val di Pesa. Here follow the direction for Montespertoli, Montalbino and Lucardo.

By Plane:
From Florence airport Amerigo Vespucci (25 km) or from Pisa airport (60 km ) you can travel to Montalbino agriturismo by private taxi or by hiring a car.

By train:
Certaldo (5 km ) or Empoli (20 km) railway station.
