Le Vigne is a family-run agriturismo (farm holidays) located in splendid countryside with an exceptional view of the wonderful lake Bolsena - the largest lake of volcanic origin in Italy. The agriturismo is 200 mt. from the centre of Bolsena and has comfortable, attractive rooms, some with own entrance and lake view, as likewise the appartment available.

A holiday with us ensures enjoyment and tranquillity.

You can spend many pleasant days at our location, enjoying the historical, artistic and cultural presences of the area. You can also choose to rest in peace in our ample garden.

The landlord shall be pleased to suggest cultural and gastronomic itineraries.

All our apartments are finely fitted, equipped with every comfort; they have a private bath with independent douche. Some of the apartments have also a private entrance.
The wonderful view upon Bolsena Lake shall contribute for sure in the unique atmosphere.

Placed in the so-called "triangle" on the borders of Lazio - Tuscany - Umbria, Bolsena is situated in one of the most fascinating areas of Italy as regards nature and history. Nearby, many very interesting excursions may be made in surroundings of great natural beauty. Rome is roughly 100 Km away and may be reached by train from Orvieto (Umbria) or Viterbo (Lazio). Alternatively, one may travel by car along the Via Cassia, an ancient Roman roadway, passing through various townships each wellworth the visitor's attention. Siena (Tuscany) is 120 km away it is 45 km to the sea and the famous Terme of Saturnia.
It is possible to cycle round the lake (about 62 km), then take time off in a pretty lakeside village or in one of the inlets to be in contact with nature. Historical monuments within the area, in particular Volsinii and the Rocca Monaldeschi, both in Bolsena, may also be explored, or one may walk along the Via Francigena, the ancient pathway followed by medieval pilgrims travelling to Rome. If the water-level is suitable it is possible to search for the submerged village of Gran Carro. Nor should be forgotten visits to the Etruscan necropolis and the Bisentina and Martana islands.

Sports activities include riding, mountain-bike, the use of our swimming pool and walks in the oak woods. It is also possible to sample and purchase typical local produce such as oil, wine and jams. Further options in the neighbourhood include waterskiing, canoeing, windsurfing and a visit to the wine cellar for winetasting.

To reach us:

Motorway (Autostrada) A1 to Orvieto, then follow road signs for Bolsena Lake (22 Km). When in Bolsena, drive as far as Piazza Matteotti in the town centre. At the traffic lights turn left towards Montefiascone. At the third petrol station thereafter (TOTAL FINA) turn left and follow the signs for "Le Vigne".
