AGRITURISMO LE QUERCE DI ASSISI

Le Querce is set in the middle of an area of great historical, cultural, artistic and natural interest, it extends for seventy acres situated in the green hills of Assisi in the National Park of Mount Subasio. The farm is totally immersed in woods and pastureland on which deer horses and goats graze. The farmhouse is an old 13th century watermill recently rebuilt, has apartments and generous rooms with bathrooms furnished whith typical regional pieces.
This is the ideal place for those who are seeking the experience of a different holiday immersed in healthy and unpolluted surroundings.
A few miles distant and easily eccessible both by foot and by bicycle one finds the historical city of Assisi famous for being the birth place of S. Francis in 1182.

Excursions are recommended with or without a guide where you will discover intrigueing pathways and breathtaking views stunning for their spectaculer nature.
The "Foro del Marchetto", an impressive canyon in the folds of the Subasio deserves a visit.
Local customs, authentic and happy feasting, that every evening give life to the area where products are offered of the typical cuisine all accompained by music, dancing and shows. The most important event is the Calendamaggio of Assisi a unique and outstanding medieval spectacle evoking the past whith it’s music, splendid and colourful tradional costumes.

"Le Querce di Assisi" is within easy reach of the following localities: Perugia, Lake Trasimeno, Chianciano, Cortona, Arezzo, Siena, Città di Castello, Gubbio, Norcia e Cascia, Spoleto, Terni, Todi e Orvieto.
Little more than an hour's drive away are Rome, Florence, Ancona and an infinity of places of natural beauty on the Tirrenean and Adriatic coasts.

One can take guided or independent excursions onto Mount Subasio and visit its many exquisite hill towns or explore the isolated localities of the Massiccio Centrale Umbro, the pleasant and scenic surroundings of Lake Trasimeno, the artistic treasures of Toscana and Umbria, the caves of Frasassi, the castles around Todi, the Marmore Falls, the pottery workshops of Deruta and Gualdo Tadino, and the museums and collections in Perugia.
