AGRITURISMO LA CASACCINA

Ornella Bosatra's commercial farm, mainly growing cereals, as an old olive-grove from which an excellent fruity-tasting oil is obtained, and a young vineyard which allows you to sip a good red wine and white one. 12 hectares of woods permit you to go for some long and relaxing walks.


In the calmness of the Tuscan hills, at 405 metres above sea level, “La Casaccina” farmhouse overlooks a gentle valley delimited by Mount Amiata, Radicofani, San Casciano Bagni and Trevinano, with the Mount Rufeno natural reserve behind..

Here you can find San Casciano baths, San Filippo Baths, Vignoni Bath, Chianciano and Lake Bolsena.


You can very easily reach Siena, Perugia and Viterbo, which are about 70 km from the farmhouse. Orvieto, Montalcino, Pienza, Città della Pieve, Badia San Salvatore are really near. Also Tarquinia is easy to reach.

The Thermal

The thermal waters at San Casciano gush out from a multitude of springs constituting a basin of noteworthy capacity. The chemical - physical characteristics classify it as hyper-thermal, sulfuric, calcic and magnesic water: at some of these springs natural, thermal mud is formed that has extraordinary therapeutic properties. The muds are obtained through a natural mixture of mineral water and clay that is steeped and enriched with mineral components in underground cavities that surround San Casciano dei Bagni.
