Holiday farm “Ca’ Bertù”, situated in the beautiful green Samoggia Valley in the hills of Bologna (at 250 m.a.s.l.), is anxious to offer you an enjoyable holiday away from the bustling traffic in an oasis of peace and quiet.

Arranged in a tower building of historical importance because it is a typical architectural example of the “Comacini” masters. These highly specialised builders from the Comasco areas built many houses of this type in the this region between the XII and XIV century. The structure was completely renovated in 2006 and, thanks to the fact that all the work has been done in total respect of local characteristics, the building’s most amazing aspects can now be appreciated in full.
There is an old barn with stables next to the building, which have also been recently renovated. Sit and relax under the barn’s portico and enjoy the peace of the location in an atmosphere of past eras.

The building was once the home of farmers who farmed the vast surrounding land. The house is still located within a farming business with 175 acres of farmed land amongst sown meadows, vineyards and woodland.
The holiday farm therefore sits in a peaceful area away from all sources of disturbance and is a possible starting point for relaxing strolls or bike rides during which you can quite easily meet up with deer, hares and squirrels and admire the buzzard that has nested on the mountain in front of Ca’ Bertù soaring the sky.

We are situated just 500 meters from the Palazzo di Cuzzano, which is a historical building that belongs to the farming business and was once the master’s house and now hosts wedding receptions and meetings.

We avail of four double bedrooms, two of which with twin beds and two single rooms.
One single room is situated on the ground floor and is also suitable for welcoming the disabled.

The holiday farm consists of two completely fitted-out apartments of which one offers a lounge on the ground floor, double bedroom and bathroom on the first floor.
The other apartment has a large lounge, two bathrooms and two double bedrooms. One bedroom has access to the tower with panoramic view over the hills and cosy sitting room.
